The Intercollegiate Studies Institute’s Collegiate Network Journalism Internship and Fellowship Program is not designed merely to help students get a job in media—it is built to help them master the craft and rise to the top of the profession.

This highly selective program equips aspiring journalists with the technical expertise, professional discipline, and editorial judgment required to excel in today’s competitive media landscape. Through internships at leading media outlets and prestigious fellowships, participants receive intensive, hands-on training in reporting, writing, editing, and multimedia storytelling—skills that separate competent journalists from truly exceptional ones.

Interns and fellows are immersed in real newsrooms, working alongside experienced professionals, meeting demanding deadlines, and producing meaningful journalism that highlights stories that matter and that deserve attention. They learn not just how to report stories, but how to do so with precision, clarity, speed, and authority, the hallmarks of lasting success in media.

Rooted in The Collegiate Network’s commitment to a free and responsible press, the program prepares participants to become influential voices in journalism: professionals who combine technical mastery with intellectual seriousness, ethical rigor, and a dedication to the principles of a free society.

The deadline to apply is February 1, 2026.
